Formation of ‘Modi-Sena’

It was August 09, 2013, Kranti Divas. ‘Modi Sena’ announces its dawn itself from the horizon of Bhubaneswar. Heartfelt homage was offered to those heroes of our Nation who laid down their valuable lives for the sake of our motherland. Whole city was surcharged with a touching atmosphere of nationalism. A unique extravaganza was on at the PMG square, in the heart of Bhubaneswar to remember the martyrs and the patriot Great Souls. At the very moment some social activists and thinkers pronounced the birth of this voluntary organization i.e. the ‘Modi-Sena’ from the dais of the meeting. Since then, the Sena hasn’t looked back on its way of rendering service to the society.

‘Phailin’ Philanthropy

It was October 26, 2016. ‘Phailin’ cyclone inflicted havoc upon coasts of Odisha, from south to north and from east to west. Dashing volunteers of ‘Modi-Sena’ under the towering stewardship of Shri Murali Manohar Sharma made it to the worst hit pockets in Gopalpur vicinity and swung into action of distributing dry foods, biscuits, medicines, candle, match boxes etc . It was the ‘Modi-Sena’, which could land on the marooned area, sooner than anybody else.

Relief works by ‘Modi-Sena’ in eastern coast of Odisha

Basta area in Balasore district was also thrashed by the dreaded cyclone, ‘Phailin’. Here also ‘Modi-Sena’ took no time to gear up the relief work. Unpaid assistants and volunteers of the Sena arrived on the spot on the 28th October 2013 and handed out Tarpolin, medicine like relief materials to the victims. Local people witnessed the rigorous work of the volunteers round the clock under the towering leadership of none other than Shri Murali Manohar Sharma.

On 9 December 2013, ‘Modi-Sena’ shouldered the responsibility of collecting iron pieces from within the state of Odisha at a meeting of the delegates from Gujarat at Bhanj Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar for construction of Iron-Man Sarddar Ballav Bhai Patel’s mammoth statuette.

Modi-Sena’s role in Modi Ji’s dream mission, ‘Run for Unity’

Dream project of our Honble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Jee i.e. the ‘Run for Unity’ as a mark of respect to Sarddar Patel Ji at Bhubaneswar was one of the biggest and most successful events in Hindustan. Morning of December 15, 2013 in Bhubaneswar experienced the gargantuan marathon from Biju Patnaik Park to Lingaraj temple under the banner of ‘Run for Unity’, thanks to the tireless effort by the irrestible volunteers of ‘Modi-Sena’ and its convener, Shri Murali Manohar Sharma. Sena members gave their all to persuade the students and youths of the city for turning up to the patriotic event which brought huge success to the programme. Shri Murali Manohar Sharma stood first in entire eastern India in the e-registration competition which was meant for promoting the event and registering the participants.

‘Chaye Pe Charchchaa’ (Chat in tea parties)

BJP’s projected Prime Minister, Hon’ble Modi Ji’s welfare and development works in his home state, Gujarat were brought before the electorates in our state at tea parties, arranged by ‘Modi-Sena’ throughout the state (Chaye Pe Charchchaa).

Lacs of ‘Modi-Sena’ volunteers from across Odisha flocked to the Baramunda ground on February 11, 2014 to welcome Shri Narendra Modi Ji with placards in their hands. A decent sand art depicting Hon’ble Modi Ji in Ekamra Hat by ‘Modi-Sena’ was the centre of attraction for the men and women from remote parts who travelled all the way to Bhubaneswar for attending Modi Ji’s rally, that day.

Modi-Sena’s Mini Marathon on Modi Ji’s oath taking day

Hon’ble Modi Government’s swearing-in ceremony was celebrated by ‘Modi-Sena’ taking along mass in different parts of Odisha on May 26, 2014. Mini marathon from Forest Park to Ram Mandir in Bhubaneswar was accomplished with huge turn-out. 108 candles were lighted before Prabhu Shri Ram Ji as a prayer to strengthen Modi Government for good governance. The same evening at Kendujhargarh was more colourful. Giant TV screens, fixed in the main chowks of the town were showing the celebrations of ‘Modi-Sena’ across the district head quarters. Rallies were marching in streets distributing sweets among the public shouting Modi Ji’s slogan, ‘EK BHARAT – SHRESHTH BHARAT’.

‘Modi-Sena’ observes Modi Ji’s birth day in its own way

In the year of 2014, plantation programme and worshipping the great personalities programme in Kuhudi College, Khurdda was undertaken in morning and evening hour, respectively by ‘Modi-Sena’ on Modi Ji’s birth day 17th September. A mega blood donation camp was conducted in City Club, Bhubaneswar in morning, that day.

Large scale plantation of trees in Chilka area by ‘Modi-Sena’

Plenty of trees were planted by the volunteers of ‘Modi-Sena’ in Chilka area over the years. On the 29th October 2014, Sena’s volunteers planted palm and Jhaun trees on the sea shore and bank of Chilka lake to evade the possible natural calamities. 200 trees were planted in and around Akhileshwar field within Krishna Prasad block. 7, 000 Taal trees were planted across the embankments from Marddarajpur to Jenapur and from Kothkhar to Bhutkhia.

Voyage of ‘Modi-Sena’ in Chilka to aware for environment conservation

‘Modi-Sena’ volunteers have also triggered the ‘Save Environment & Ecology’ mission through boat journey across the Chilka lake and aired the message to rescue the surrounding flora and fauna. On 29th Oct. 2014, Sena’s volunteers kicked off the awareness drive by sailing from the Chilka bank at Soran in Khurdda district to Rajhans covering Balugaon and Jahnikuda of Krishna Prasad block. Workshops are also held under the leadership of Shri Murali Manohar Sharma to aware the mass for safeguarding our ecology.
